Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in New Delhi to participate in the BRICS Summit. During his visit, President Pezeshkian is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday evening. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring areas of mutual cooperation between India and Iran. India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on 12–13 September 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, as the current chair of the expanded 11-member grouping. The two-day event brings together leaders including India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, China’s Xi Jinping, Russia’s Vladimir Putin and Iran’s Masoud Pezeshkian.
