The services of trainee IPS officer Nitesh Kumar Mishra, who was holding charge of Kabisuryanagar Police Station, have been withdrawn following allegations of custodial death of a 32-year-old youth. An SI, ASI and a constable from the same police station have been placed under suspension. The Superintendent of Police, Ganjam has been directed to transfer all staff from Kabisuryanagar Police Station with immediate effect. The action comes after allegations surfaced regarding the death of a youth in custody.
