The Bombay High Court on Tuesday sentenced Tehelka founder and former editor-in-chief, Tarun Tejpal to 10 years in prison and fined Rs 10 lakh in connection with the 2013 sexual assault case involving a junior colleague. The High Court overturned the 2021 verdict of the Goa Sessions Court, which had acquitted Tejpal of all charges. Following the High Court’s judgment, Tejpal said he would move the Supreme Court challenging the conviction and sentence.
