The Higher Education Department has advised girl students to install the ‘Shaktishree’ app on their mobile phones for round-the-clock safety. The department has written to all university registrars and college principals in this regard. Through the app, girl students can share information if they face any adverse situation. The complaint will reach from the higher education institution up to the department level, ensuring swift action. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi had launched the ‘Shaktishree’ app on the 2nd of this month.
