India registers their biggest victory in Tests; crush Afghanistan by Innings & 300 Runs
India thrashed Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs in their one-off Test at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Monday. Skipper Shubman Gill received the trophy as Team India celebrate after a massive win in New Chandigarh.
 
The result went into the record books as India’s biggest innings victory in Test history. It broke the previous record of an innings and 272 runs set against West Indies in Rajkot in 2018. On Day 3, Afghanistan was bowled out for 152 before lunch in reply to India’s first-innings total of 564/8 declared.
