Floods have impacted 15 districts in the State, with 57 Blocks bearing the brunt, informed Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari after a review meeting. The official death toll has risen to five while Unconfirmed reports put the flood death toll at 7-10. 57 Blocks, 446 Panchayats, 1,362 villages and 11 urban areas have been affected. A total of 7,91,846 people have been impacted by the floods. Out of 30 districts, 15 are flood-affected while the other 15 remain safe.2,68,943 people are currently in waterlogged conditions. 21,380 hectares of farmland has been damaged and 700 houses have been destroyed.The government has opened 647 relief centers to provide assistance to affected families.
