Ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media in New Delhi. The Prime Minister said that India is moving ahead in different fields and the country’s growth story is gaining momentum. He underlined the government’s focus on development, innovation and self-reliance. PM Modi lauded the success of Vikram-1 and congratulated scientists and engineers for the successful trial of the Hydrogen Train. Urging members of Parliament, the Prime Minister requested them to raise relevant issues in Parliament. He said that if arguments are strong and based on truth, discussions on any matter can take place peacefully. In 19 sittings across 25 days till August 13, the monsoon session of Parliament is also slated to see the introduction of several important bills. Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal and MoS Jitendra Singh were also present.
