Officials have been appointed to conduct the Rajya Sabha by-election in Odisha. Secretary of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Satyabrata Rout has been appointed as the Returning Officer for the upcoming Rajya Sabha by-election. Joint Secretary Vidyadhar Majhi will serve as the Assistant Returning Officer. The bypoll was necessitated following the resignation of Debashish Samantaray. The last date for filing nominations is June 8, while voting will be held on June 18.
