The investigation into the murder of Chandranath Rath, personal assistant (PA) to West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, has been transferred to CBI. The probe was transferred from the West Bengal Police to the CBI following a recommendation from the West Bengal Government. CBI has constituted a seven-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by a DIG-rank officer, informed the central agency.
