22.28 Lakh Farmers Registered for Kharif Paddy Procurement, Sets All-Time Record

A record 22.28 lakh farmers have registered for the Kharif season to sell their paddy, marking an all-time high in farmer registration for paddy procurement in Odisha.

According to the latest figures, 22,28000 farmers have completed registration for paddy sales this Kharif season, compared to 19,67000 farmers who registered last year.

Speaking on the development, Odisha Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra said that the government will procure paddy from all registered farmers, assuring that no eligible farmer will be left out.

The record number of registrations reflects the growing participation of farmers in the state’s paddy procurement system and the government’s efforts to ensure that farmers receive a fair opportunity to sell their produce.
