President Murmu to attend Odisha Govt’s 2-Year Celebrations, PM Modi to join Rairangpur Event
President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on June 19 and 20 as part of her multi-state tour.
 
During her stay in Rairangpur, the President will participate in a series of developmental, welfare and public outreach programmes, culminating in a major public event on June 20 that will also be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
 
According to the President’s Secretariat itinerary, Murmu will arrive at Dandbose Airport, Rairangpur, on the afternoon of June 19 and proceed to the Sub-Divisional Hospital, where she will interact with beneficiaries and doctors associated with an AIIMS Bhubaneswar-supported medical camp.
 
She is also slated to inaugurate a mega rural piped water supply project benefiting 113 villages affected by mining activities and unveil the Matrushakti Bhavan of the Brahma Kumaris at Hatbadra.
 
On June 20, the President will visit Gosani Peeth, Santhali Jahera and Ho Jahera. She will also interact with beneficiaries at a skill development centre and visit a school established by the SLS Trust, where she will pay floral tributes at the memorials of her late parents and review educational activities.
 
The highlight of the visit will be the joint public programme of President Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Rairangpur on June 20. The event is being organised to mark the completion of two years of the Odisha Government. During the programme, the two leaders will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several projects virtually.
 
Among the key projects listed for inauguration or foundation laying are the Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) Centre at Rairangpur, the IGNOU Regional Centre, an Indoor Badminton Stadium under the Khelo India scheme, a Sports Complex, a Tribal Research and Development Centre, and a proposed PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
