India continued their impressive run at the AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026, beating Malaysia 3-1 in the first semi-final on Friday. Captain and drag-flicker Anmol Ekka from Odisha once again led from the front, scoring twice from penalty corners to take his tournament tally to an impressive 16 goals and strengthen his position at the top of the scoring charts. Goalkeeper Vivek Lakra stood tall in the Indian post and was named ‘Player of the Match’ for his outstanding saves, including stopping a penalty stroke, in the Indian Junior Men’s Team’s 3–1 win over Malaysia in the first semi-final of the AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026. The Indian Junior Men’s Team will face South Korea in the final of the AHF Junior Asia Cup 2026 on Sunday, September 13.
