Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Thursday gave a stern warning over the closure of Supreme Court Metro Station amid the ongoing CJP protest. The CJI said the station must be opened by this afternoon, failing which the Supreme Court will intervene. He noted that court staff are facing difficulties because the Supreme Court station remains shut. The bench also pointed out that 16 metro stations in Delhi remain closed today due to the ongoing agitation. The court has asked authorities to take immediate steps to restore normal services for commuters and court employees. Earlier, the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) raised concerns over the closure of metro stations due to the ongoing student protests, saying the restrictions had severely disrupted access to the court.
