Sonam Wangchuk Ends 26-Day Hunger Strike After Talks With Centre
Activist Sonam Wangchuk broke his 26-day-long hunger strike after long discussions with the Government.
 
In the presence of BJP President JP Nadda and Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Wangchuk had water to mark the end of his fast.
 
He shared the information on social media platform X. Wangchuk took the big decision to avoid a violent situation and appealed to the students to maintain peace across the country. He said the decision to end the fast came after detailed talks with the Government.
 
He stated that he called off his hunger strike after lengthy discussions with the Government.
 
Earlier 65 members of parliament from different political parties had visited or signed letters urging me to break the fast, he stated in X.
