Following the Delhi High Court order, Activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on a hunger strike for the past 24 days, was shifted from Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Tuesday. Earlier, the Delhi High Court has directed the immediate transfer of social activist Sonam Wangchuk to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for the last 24 days protesting the NEET paper leak issue. The Court stated that as per the medical protocol, doctors at Medanta Hospital will oversee Wangchuk’s treatment, and Wangchuk will also have to follow the advice of the medical team. During the hearing, the Central Government informed the High Court that it has no objection to Wangchuk being shifted to Medanta Hospital. Wangchuk has been demanding accountability and strict action in connection with the NEET paper leak controversy.
