The Higher Education Department of the Odisha Government on Monday released the first selection merit list for admission to Undergraduate (UG) Degree (+3) courses for the 2026–27 academic session with Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, emerging at the top in most streams. Ravenshaw University recorded the highest cut-off percentages across Arts, Science and Commerce streams. The highest cut-off in the Arts stream was 94.50% for Political Science, 96.50% in Physics under Physical Science and 94.83% in Zoology under Biological Science. The university also recorded the highest cut-off in Commerce at 89.17%. In the Self-Financing stream, BJB Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar, took the lead. Its Computer Science cut-off reached 92%. For law aspirants, Madhu Sudan Das Law University set the Integrated B.A.LLB cut-off at 89.40%. In the Shastri stream, Brajakishore Sanskrit Degree College, Gadabishnupur topped with a cut-off of 67.57%. Around 1,78,782 students secured seats in various higher educational institutions across Odisha.
