Odisha sprinter Amiya Mallick has lodged a protest with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI), questioning Chhattisgarh sprinter Animesh Kujur’s eligibility to compete for Odisha. Amiya alleged that the No Objection Certificate issued by Chhattisgarh Athletic Association to Animesh Kujur expired on September 19, 2024. Despite the expiry of the NOC, Animesh is continuing to participate for Odisha, he claimed. Amiya argued that this violates AFI’s transfer guidelines and demanded a review of the matter. He sought AFI’s intervention.
