Delhi Police has arrested restaurant owner Lokesh Bajaj in connection with the recent fire incident in Malviya Nagar. The action comes after investigations revealed that the restaurant was being operated in violation of multiple safety and licensing norms. Officials allege that Bajaj ran the establishment without adhering to mandatory fire safety regulations and other building guidelines. It is pertinent to mention here that a devastating fire in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar on Wednesday claimed at least 21 lives and left several others injured. A case has been registered against Lokesh Bajaj under relevant sections. Police said further inquiry is underway to identify other lapses and determine accountability.
