PM Modi in Bishkek for 26th SCO Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, to attend the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit.
 
Upon his arrival at the Airport in Bishkek, PM Modi was warmly received by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kasymaliev Adylbek Aleshovich.
 
A traditional Kyrgyz dance performance was also held at the airport to welcome the Prime Minister.
 
The two-day summit is being held in Bishkek and will bring together leaders of SCO member countries, including Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
 
The summit is expected to focus on regional security, economic cooperation, connectivity and other key issues of mutual interest among member states.
 
Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the summit. The two leaders are expected to discuss key bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.
