Congress Retains Datia Seat as Ghanshyam Singh Wins Madhya Pradesh Bypoll
Congress has won the Datia Assembly Bypoll in Madhya Pradesh, with Ghanshyam Singh emerging victorious in the by-election.

Singh defeated his BJP rival by 6,016 votes, delivering a key win for the party and a morale boost ahead of upcoming political battles in the State.

According to District Election Officer and Datia Collector Swapnil Wankhade, after counting of all 15 rounds, Singh secured 66,757 votes.

The BJP candidate Tiwari managed 60,741 votes. Azad Samaj Party’s Damodar Yadav finished third with 22,527 votes.

The election was necessitated after sitting Congress MLA Rajendra Bharti was disqualified from the Assembly following his conviction in a cheating case by a Delhi court in April.
