US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Friday as part of his 4-day visit to India. The two leaders held key discussions for nearly an hour. Talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in energy, trade and investment between the two countries. Rubio’s India visit comes amid efforts to deepen the India-US strategic partnership. Both sides reviewed ongoing collaborations and discussed ways to further boost economic and strategic ties. They had a productive discussion on ways to deepen U.S.-India cooperation across security, trade, and critical technologies – areas that strengthen both our nations and advance a free and open Indo-Pacific.
