India’s First Privately-Built Rocket ‘Vikram-1’ Successfully Launched
The rocket, built by Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace, was launched by ISRO after a delay of 30 minutes. The launch was declared successful and all systems performed as planned.
 
The mission marks a significant milestone for India’s private space sector and reflects the growing capability of the country’s space ecosystem.
 
Following the successful launch, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the Skyroot Aerospace team and congratulated them on the big achievement.
 
Vikram-1 is India’s first privately built orbital-class rocket. Its successful launch marks a significant step for India’s private space industry and opens the door for commercial satellite launches from the country.
