ABVP wins 3 out of 4 Seats in DUSU Polls; NSUI Wiped Out

The results of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections were declared on Saturday after the completion of 20 rounds of vote counting.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) secured victories in three of the four central panel posts, winning the President, Secretary and Joint Secretary positions. The Congress-backed National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) failed to secure any of the four central posts. It has been completely wiped out from the campus.

ABVP’s Yash Dabas won the President’s post with 24,576 votes, while Riya Chhawdi secured the Secretary’s position with 21,650 votes. Lakshya Raj Singh won the Joint Secretary’s post with 16,615 votes.

Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen won the Vice-President’s post, securing 30,615 votes.

Following the announcement of the results, officials asked the winning candidates and their supporters not to take out victory rallies on or outside the university campus, in accordance with the directions of the Delhi High Court.
