India’s men’s volleyball team has booked a spot in the quarter-finals of the ongoing AVC Men’s Volleyball Continental Championship for the first time since 2019, after closing out their group stage campaign in Kitakyushu, Japan, with a much-needed win. India finished third in Pool B after a 3-0 win over New Zealand, following earlier defeats to China and Iran. The team beat New Zealand in straight sets, 25-22, 25-18, 25-21, in their final Pool B fixture. India’s qualification was confirmed after Bahrain defeated Oman 3-0 in Pool A.
