Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan, and Higher Education, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Suryabanshi Suraj attended the 36th Convocation Ceremony of Sambalpur University. Addressing the graduating students, Pradhan emphasized that the knowledge and skills acquired at university should empower young people to fulfil their responsibilities towards society. Congratulating the graduating students, Dharmendra Pradhan extended his best wishes to those who received their degrees and gold medals in recognition of their academic excellence, hard work and research. The dignitaries also attended the 5th Convocation Ceremony of Gangadhar Meher University in Sambalpur. The Governor congratulated the students who received their degrees, PhD degrees and gold medals. Addressing the gathering, Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati urged Gangadhar Meher University to undertake initiatives focused on awareness, training, research and entrepreneurship in the field of energy security. He emphasised the importance of developing knowledge and skills in emerging areas that can contribute to the nation’s energy security and future development. The convocation ceremonies celebrated the academic achievements of students while highlighting the important role of higher education institutions in promoting research, innovation, entrepreneurship and nation-building.
