Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended his greetings to teachers across the country on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and highlighted the vital role educators play in shaping the future of India’s youth. Addressing teachers on September 5, Modi said education should go beyond the confines of textbooks and prescribed syllabi. PM Modi also suggested that students should be encouraged to take part in sports, outdoor games, and creative activities to reduce dependency on mobile phones and digital screens. The Prime Minister also warned about the growing problem of drug abuse.
